Graduate Assistant Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
Thank you for your interest in graduate assistantship
opportunities with University Housing. We have two live-in
positions - Hall Director and Assistant Coordinator.
Additionally, we offer two live off positions - Assistant
Coordinator for Night Staff and Assistant Coordinator
for Conduct.
COMPENSATION
Please note that there may be some changes to the compensation packages offered
in the future.
Assistant Coordinator: 20 hours per week,
at a rate of $8.37/hour, furnished apartment, $100.00
in dining credit per semester, NO parking.
Assistant Coordinator for Night Staff or
Conduct: 20 hours per week, at a rate of $8.86/hour,
$100.00 in dining credit per semester, NO apartment or
parking.
Hall Director: 25 hours per week, at a
rate of $8.74/hour, furnished apartment, $100.00 in dining
credit per semester, NO parking.
TRAINING
Training for staff occurs in July.
OTHER
Generally we seek students with significant residence hall experience at the
undergraduate level (i.e. hall government, RA, etc.). Please keep in mind
that we have a strong graduate academic program in Higher Education Administration.
Many of our hall directors and assistant coordinators come out of that program.
While we have had graduate assistants from other academic programs, the majority
are in Higher Education Administration.
