Assignments
are made without regard to race, creed or national origin. Priority
for assignment is established by the date the housing application
and the advance payment are received in the Housing Office.
The acceptance of the
advance payment does not guarantee assignment to a particular apartment
or facility, but it does place the applicant¹s name on the
waiting list.
Assignment to Rogers
Hall and Alumni Village depends upon availability of vacancies
created by departure of residents who are required to provide only
30 days notice. Assignment to Ragans Hall depends upon availability
of vacancies created by the departure of residents who will vacate
at the end of the semester.
For Rogers and Alumni
Village room assignment information is generally mailed 15
to 30 days before the official move-in date. One month¹s
rent is due in advance of occupancy of the apartment. Subsequent
monthly rent is due on the first of each month thereafter without
notice. Checks should be made payable to Florida State University
and may be paid at the University Housing Office in the Student
Life Building at 942 Learning Way or at the Student Financial
Services Office located at A1500 University Center.
If an apartment
is occupied after the 20th of any month, initial rent will
include the balance of the first month, plus the succeeding month.
A full day¹s rent will be charged even if the apartment is
occupied only a portion of the day.
The Ragans Hall room
assignment information is generally mailed in June. University
Housing offers students several payment options for residents in
this facility. Payment options include: full payment,an installment
plan, and financial aid deferment. Payment information is mailed
with assignment notification and payment arrangements must be made
in advance.
