MAIN OFFICE STAFF, located at 157-01 Herlong Drive, are responsible for answering the phone, checking residents into apartments, processing intents to vacate and responding to requests for information both about Alumni Village and the University as a whole. The office telephone number is 644-1874.

FACILITIES STAFF, located at 157-02 Herlong Drive, are responsible for the maintenance of the apartment units and grounds. They are responsible for taking work orders over the phone, in person or over e-mail and for answering questions about the status of work orders. Assisting the facilities manager are a maintenance supervisor, a grounds supervisor and a cleaning supervisor. The facilities manager coordinates the three teams as well as outside contractors for any special projects such as roofing, sewer replacement, etc. The maintenance supervisor has a team of maintenance mechanics who provide plumbing, electrical, painting, tiling, and carpentry services. Working primarily inside the apartment, the maintenance team processes work orders or requests for repairs. The grounds supervisor has groundskeepers who are responsible for mowing the grass, trimming hedges, edging sidewalks, planting, seeding - anything that requires attention to the landscape of Alumni Village. The team also assists with furniture and appliance transporting. The custodial supervisor and this team are responsible for cleaning the apartments when vacated and preparing them for occupancy. They are also responsible for cleaning of public areas such as the laundromats and recreation hall. This team has the primary responsibility for furniture transporting. The facilities manager can be reached at 644-1874 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., weekdays. Normal maintenance transactions should be completed during these hours. If a facility-related emergency arises outside regular office hours, call the cellular phone number 443-7045. If the cell phone does not work (occasionally, it is located in a "dead" spot and will give a "not available" message even though it is turned on and in a ready mode), call the beeper number 657-8255.

RESIDENTIAL STAFF are composed of the community coordinator and two resident managers. The coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing community-building activities, the judicial program and editing the Village Gram. The staff also provides on call duty for emergencies that arise after office hours. The Gram contains procedures and policy changes, information about upcoming events and items of interest. To submit information for the newsletter, submit via e-mail or deliver a written copy to the Alumni Village Main Office by the 15th of the month for publication on the first of the upcoming month. The community coordinator’s office is located at 157-04 Herlong Dr., telephone 644-7431. Messages may be left for the residential staff at the Main Office telephone number 644-1874.

CHILD CARE STAFF, located at 169 Herlong Drive, in the Alumni Village Child Development Center, are responsible for the operation and management of the preschool, the after-school and children’s summer program. Staff members can be reached at 644-8305.

The Alumni Village Police Substation is located at 168 Crenshaw Drive. An Officer is on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you need help, call 911 in an emergency or 644-1234 for routine information or 311 for urgent help but non emergency. You may also access the FSU police by activating a blue light phone.
