Dear Alumni Village Residents:

Welcome to Florida State University and to Alumni Village. We are pleased that you
have chosen our “community of scholars” for your University housing. We hope you
will be pleased with your apartment and the 80 acres of green space which surrounds it. Your new neighborhood is a diverse community of approximately 1100 people. Your neighbors are people of all ages and from over 80 countries throughout the world. We encourage you to seize every opportunity to become involved in the Alumni Village community, composed of scholars, like yourself, who hope to matriculate at Florida State. You will find a number of “extras” that we hope will enhance your living here—two laundry rooms, plenty of parking, a University police substation, and the availability of free public transportation throughout the city while classes are in session. All of us on the Alumni Village staff invite you to visit us at 157-01 Herlong Drive. In addition to helping you with your apartment, we can give you information about childcare, recreation and other concerns. We want you to enjoy your stay here. We know, however, that university life can be stressful. If we can make your life easier, call on us.
