Academic
Computing and Network Services provides e mail and
PPP accounts, as well as support and training for students,
staff and faculty. Their site is an absolute must for all
new FSU students. University Housing Computer Services
at FSU maintains and staffs several computer labs for resident
students with current Housing contracts. An active FSU
card is required for admittance.
Our East Campus location, with an outside entrance on the ground floor of Cawthon
Hall, provides Apple and Wintel computers, up to PowerPC and Pentium class
respectively, with a networked connection to a Hewlett-Packard 5M, 600 dpi
laser printer for all of your academic software and printing needs. Applications
available on Macintosh workstations include:
- Microsoft Office , including Word,
Excel and PowerPoint
- Internet Explorer
- Netscape Communicator
Pentium IV Windows/Intel workstations
provide:
- Microsoft Office 2003
- Internet Explorer
- Mozilla Firefox
The West Campus Lab has an
external entrance located on the first floor of Smith Hall,
opposite the Keen Building. It furnishes Apple computers
networked to a laser printer for your academic software and
printing needs, with the same Office Suite and browser software.
