Specifically designed for first-year
students, the Learning Communities at Florida State University are
designed to help contribute to the student's overall growth and development.
In addition to residing in a close-knit supportive community, learning
community participants are given the opportunity to interact with
faculty, some may take a course in their residence hall, and interact
with other students who share common academic interests. These students
aren't just living together, they're learning together! Currently,
there are eight living-learning communities.
All students who reside in renovated residence halls on the East side of campus
are required to purchase a meal plan membership. The affected halls and living-learning
communities are as follows: Broward, Bryan, Cawthon, Gilchrist, Jennie Murphree,
Landis and Reynolds. All dining plan memberships offer students entry into
the Fresh Food Company, the Suwannee Room, and the Coyle Moore Dining Room.
Dining Plan Terms and Conditions for the 2006-2007 academic year are available
on the Seminole Dining website. For additional information on the dining plan
memberships and a listing of eating locations, please visit their website at www.seminoledining.com.
If you have questions, please call Seminole Dining at 850-644-FOOD.
