Must
I purchase a meal membership if I reside in a renovated East Side
campus residence hall?
Yes. There have been numerous enhancements and exciting new campus dining
facilities constructed as part of the university’s response to students’ expressed
interest in dining options and food service. Students residing on the
East Side of campus are in close proximity to the newly renovated dining facility,
which is housed in the historic William Johnston Building located in the heart
of the residence hall area. Because students have the opportunity as part of
their residential experience to eat together on a regular basis, meal memberships
will enhance the sense of community that we see as an important part of the
campus residential experience. Back

What
kinds of meal memberships are available?
Seminole Dining Services offers a
variety of meal membership options, which include weekly memberships
and block memberships. The most economical meal memberships
are the weekly memberships. These memberships offer Unlimited,
14, 10, or 7 meals per week. The block memberships offer flexibility
by allowing your meals to roll-over from week to week within a semester. The
Block Memberships that are offered include the 150 Block and the
90 Block. All meal memberships offer your entry into
the Fresh Food Company, the Suwannee Room and the Figg Players’ Dining
Hall at Coyle Moore and all meal memberships come with FlexBucks
for use at other Seminole Dining locations, including the on-campus
convenience stores, restaurants and Proudly Brewing Starbucks. For

Why
am I expected to purchase a meal membership plan if I reside in a
renovated East Side campus residence hall?
As part of the university’s response to students’ expressed interest
in new dining options and food service, significant investments have been made
in campus dining facilities. Students in these residence halls reside in close
proximity to the newly renovated 24 hour dining facility in a historic building
located in the heart of this residence hall complex. Because students
have the opportunity as part of their residential experience to eat together
on a regular basis, meal plans will enhance the sense of community that we
wish to create. The affected halls are as follows: Broward, Bryan, Cawthon,
Gilchrist, Jennie Murphree, Landis and Reynolds.

If
I prefer not to purchase a meal membership, what are my residence
hall options?
Students residing in DeGraff, Deviney, Dorman, Kellum, McCollum, Ragans,
Salley, Smith, and Wildwood halls are not required to purchase a meal membership,
but many choose to do so. With the Fresh Food Company located within the residence
hall area, students living in these halls enjoy the convenience and the variety
of food served at this new, incredible contemporary dining location.

What
if I join a fraternity or sorority that has a mandatory meal plan?
For those students who join a fraternity or sorority with a mandatory meal
plan, we have created supplemental meal memberships for your situation. You
may choose the 7 meals per week membership or the 90 Block Membership. The
90 Block Membership is a very small meal membership, which averages approximately
5 meals per week over the course of a semester. With an average of only
5 meals per week with Seminole Dining Services, the combination of a Greek
meal membership and a Seminole Dining Membership will adequately provide you
with enough meals during the semester.

When
are the dining facilities open?
We know that our students lead busy
lifestyles! Therefore, they offer flexible dining hours that
accommodates college students’ schedules. You can use
your Flex Bucks that come with the meal memberships at our 24-hour,
7-day a week diner right in the heart of campus for those occasional “all-nighters”.
