University Housing can help you through this transition as well as better enable you to take full advantage of all the enrichments the University has to offer. Living on campus makes it easier to meet new friends, attend campus events and get acquainted with the university environment. You have a tremendous opportunity to learn more about yourself, others and the world around you while living in a residence hall.

University Housing complements your academic and personal interests by offering special developmental programs within the residence halls. Campus living offers helpful and supportive staff, faculty interaction, academic support, leadership development and employment opportunities.

We invite you to choose from a wide variety of safe and well-maintained living options. University Housing is a diverse living and learning community that offers traditional residence hall living, suite-style facilities and affordable apartment living. We are unable to guarantee housing. As space is limited, it is necessary that you submit an application as soon as possible to increase your chances of receiving an assignment.

This web site highlights campus life and gives critical information necessary for you to make an informed choice. An undergraduate University Housing Agreement form and envelope are provided for your convenience. Please use all available information in the selection of your preferences. If you have any questions regarding this material, please do not hesitate to contact us.

How to Apply (For Admitted Students Only) :

Housing agreements are available to students after they have been formally admitted to FSU. Admitted students who wish to apply for housing will receive an informational brochure. To apply for Housing, you must do one of the following:

Option 1:

1) Apply electronically by accessing the online application available on our website. Simply click the online applications icon located at the bottom of the page.

2) Submit the electronic agreement and the required advance payment. Please Note: Online housing applicants under 18 years of age are required to print the agreement after submitting it electronically and mail the printed copy to University Housing with the required signatures.

Option 2:

1) All admitted students will receive an informational brochure from housing several weeks after their formal admission to the University. Interested housing applicants can detach the "postage paid" REQUEST FOR HOUSING APPLICATION response card that is attached to the informational brochure and return it to University Housing. Once we receive the postcard, we will mail a housing agreement to the admitted student.

2) When you receive the housing agreement, return the completed agreement with the required advance payment and appropriate signatures.

Since housing space is limited and on a first come, first serve basis, the online application process will enable you to be placed on our assignment list several days earlier than waiting for an application to be mailed. Please know that we are unable to guarantee housing. Therefore, choosing to wait to apply for housing may result in not being assigned to a preferred space, specific roommate or even the opportunity to reside in campus housing.

The staff of University Housing is ready to assist you in making your experience at Florida State University the best possible one!
